10 Months

10 months. My little girl is 10 months old. Before I know it, she's going to be a year, and then what. Once upon a time she wore preemie diapers, and now.....

-She is an amazing eater. She eats everything I give her, and is getting really good at exploring new foods.

- I am very lucky that she loves to sleep. 

- She has started crawling around and pulling up on everything. I can no longer put her down and trust that she wont move until I come back. 

- She laughs when we laugh, and likes to make us laugh too.

- She loves reading books and being read to.

-She's a constant joy and I am continually thanking my Heavenly Father for bringing her into my life. I realize what a blessing she is and try not to take anything for granted.

Father's Day

This was Daniel's first Fathers Day, and I wanted to make it really special for him. But we were staying with his parents at the time, so I had to cut out by big plans. But I still got up and made him french toast for breakfast, aaaaand he took Lyla to Priesthood meeting with him, when usually I take her. So it wasn't the ultimate Father's Day I had planned in my head months ago, but I'm pretty sure he knows how awesome he is and what an amazing father he is. Lyla is really lucky to have him as her dad. 

 And the day couldn't have been that bad considering this is how he spent his afternoon.

2 week trip from TN to WA

Seeing as though this was a 2 week trip, this is going to be a long post. But I promise to keep it interesting with lots and lots of pics. I thought about doing this in multiple posts but I didn't want to break up the flow, so here we go. Oh, and the reason we are moving to Washington is because that is where Daniel is going to be working (as an Optometrist).

 This was our first big stop. My brother lives in Arizona, and I hadn't seen him in years, so I was really excited to see him. He was the whole reason we took this really long detour to Washington instead of just driving straight through.

This was my first time seeing a real cactus, and I made Daniel pull over to take some pictures.

Cousin bath time

 Her first time swimming. She loved, loved, loved it.

 We spent the night in Las Vegas in this hotel. It was our first time here, and it was really fun.

 Daniel's cousin Taylor. She is really awesome. She is one of my favorites of Daniel's cousins. She always makes me smile and she seems to make everyone around her happy.

 This is the hospital where Lyla was born. Intermountain Medical Center in Murray UT. An amazing hospital. I just had to stop to get a picture.

We stopped in Idaho to see Daniel's grandma and to visit BYU-Idaho, where we both went to school and fell in love. Aaaaaa!!

 So much excitement going on, she just can't handle it.

 She loves to stick her feet up in the air when feeding herself. Not sure why.

It was a long trip, but well worth it. we got to visit so much family along the way, and Lyla was amazing during the whole trip. Once we arrived in Washington, I told Lyla that she didn't have to go in her car seat for a while, and I told Daniel that I didn't ever want to see another burger. Road food can get old, no matter how hard you try. But we made it safely,and are excited for this new chapter in our lives.
